You can apply a serum (I like super skinny serum) or a straightening balm. Those will help with frizz as well as protect your hair. Then use a straightener and voila!

As for a hairstyle with dresses, it depends on what you like. Sock buns are really popular right now and would classy with any dress. Otherwise, I would go with some all over curls. You can do a lot from there. Pull them into a low messy bun or pull some of the curls back for a half up look.
